DECEMBER 2017 - OBWA NETWORKING & DINNER MEETING
 The Orillia Business Women’s Association (OBWA) meets every second Wednesday of the Month (September thru June) at the Best Western Mariposa INN and Conference Centre at 400 Memorial Ave. Orillia for Networking, Fun, Food and to hear a wonderful Guest Speaker.
OBWA PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE
We are soon going to say goodbye to 2017. I hope your year has been filled with laughter, fun, business growth and challenges. I added challenges because if we aren’t challenged we become stagnant. Changes and challenges aren’t always fun but sometimes we need to throw caution to the wind and try new things and re-invent old things. That is what we have been doing within the OBWA for the benefit of the group and for each one of us. It has been a fun but very busy year for the Executive Committee as we work on making this group better and bigger. The dinner meetings continue to be a fun and relaxing ladies night out. We hope the networking is proving to be a worthwhile time to do “business” and that the speakers, besides being interesting, are providing you with some information to assist you in your business or home life. As always we love your feedback and take your comments to heart. Hopefully, you are happy with the changes and improvements. If not, let us know! The food has been so amazingly delicious and the culinary staff has gone way beyond what is required of them to make our nights special. And on that note, I want to wish each one of you special women a very Merry Christmas and I look forward to a spectacular 2018 with the Orillia Business Women’s Association.

Featured Business Woman of the Month –
Kristy Fleming, Staff Lawyer, Community Legal Clinic: 6:15 p.m. – 6:20 p.m.
Dinner: 6:30 p.m.
Enjoy your dessert while you take part in the
Gift Exchange Game: 7:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
Please note that in order to participate in the gift exchange,
you must bring a wrapped gift valued at $20 and in turn will receive one while having a merry time!
Crazy Hat Contest: Take out your craziest hat and win a prize!
Contest winner will be determined by the membership following the gift exchange.

Fresh Baked Breads and Whipped Butter
House Caesar Salad
Roasted Turkey with Turkey Pan Gravy
Buttery Sage Stuffing
Mashed Potatoes
Seasonal Vegetables
Vegetarian Option:
Homemade cabbage rolls stuffed with grilled vegetables, mushrooms, sundried tomatoes and fresh herbs with roasted tomato and pepper coulis and risotto
Dessert: Buffet Style, Tea and Coffee

3 COURSE DINNER: $30 for members and first first-timers, $37 for non-members
