MARCH 2019 - OBWA NETWORKING AND DINNER MEETING
The Orillia Business Women’s Association (OBWA) meets every second Wednesday of the Month (September thru June) at the Best Western Mariposa INN and Conference Centre at 400 Memorial Ave. Orillia for networking events, fun and delicious food.
OBWA PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE
Spring is just around the corner! We can come out of hibernation and get back to what we need and want to do. We were extremely pleased with the number of women who braved the terrible weather last month and made it to the dinner, which was absolutely delicious. That in itself shows how much we enjoy this monthly night out with friends. So much is going on at the OBWA. The preparations for the Gala are well underway. We are looking for nominations for the Woman of the Year, we are hoping for sponsorships, and would love lots of door prizes. This is where you, the members, can help out. There are links already on the website to download the nomination package and to pay for sponsorships and buy your Gala tickets. We are asking that YOU get out there with sponsorship letters and hand them out to businesses to help us make this another spectacular Gala. We have decided to do a purse drive this month. Please bring any purses you no longer need that are in excellent condition so we can donate them to women in the community who don't have money to purchase this simple item. We will use money from our Toonies for Tampons fund to fill the purses with personal items. PLEASE don't forget to bring any business cards or products that will help sell yourself AND don't forget to use all the networking time to mingle and meet and chat with the members and guests. OBWA member, Risha Yorke, is going to lead us in a game which will be fun and interactive and enlightening. We are doing Networking BINGO! You won't want to miss it. Don't forget to READ THE ENTIRE BULLETIN to get all the details of what the night holds so you are prepared in advance. And most importantly don't forget to reserve your dinner before the cut off date and time because we want you there. of money or personal hygiene aids for women
that are then donated to a different charity in need
on behalf of our wonderful group of women!
