Get ready for Christmas with my Tips and Tricks!

Christmas for many is the most stressful time of the year. Some embrace the stress with exuberance and enthusiasm while others would rather crawl in to a hole to merely escape the sound of never ending Christmas carols (often starting well before necessary). Well if you are either a Christmas go-getter or a bit of a Scrooge, I have decided to compile a list of interesting and helpful tips on how to stay organized with the season quickly approaching and how to keep a sane state of mind amidst the frenzy.

Here are my favourite tips on how to stay organized and stay ahead of the game this Christmas Holiday!

1. Make a list of what works and what doesn't!

Sit down with a pen and paper and try to think back 11 months ago to last Christmas. Maybe you decided to host the entire occasion with little to no help? Call a close family member and request help prepping for the big day. Perhaps you made a new recipe that was a total hit with everyone? Jot down the recipe on a grocery list to remember to buy the supplies. No matter what ends up on the list of to-do and not-to-do's, writing down your thoughts will help you organize your upcoming holiday.

2. Download a free Christmas Planner!

If you haven't begun any Christmas planning yet, don't worry! You can download a free Christmas Planner that organizes all necessary Christmas activities in to daily tasks. Get the planner from the link below and try not to put it off until December 23rd...or you'll have a lot of crafting, baking, shopping and other tasks to do. There isn't enough time in a day, but in 6 weeks, we can definitely get you organized for the most joyous (and stressful) time of the year!

3. Write down each of your gift recipients names. Take notes and watch for deals!

Did your mother in law mention how she would love a photo album of the photos from your last vacation? Write it down and then hit up websites like www.shoporillia.com, www.wagjag.com and www.groupon.com for coupons and deals from printing companies. Remember to always try to shop locally and watch out for long shipping times, you want your ordered gifts to have an arrival date of at least one week prior to Christmas in case of shipping mistakes.

I hope these tips will assist in making your Christmas Holiday one to remember but don't forget what it's all about: family, friends and always a little bit of egg nog!

Wishing you a Happy Holiday from my family to yours.

Nancy
