Take out was very disappointing. Chips tasted like cardboard even though we ate about 10 minutes after picking up order. Did not experience any issues before with take out quality. Maybe it was a bad night. Will avoid takeout and eat inside the restaurant in future like we have done for years before Covid.

Sorry about that. We received a different type of potatoes and they were fine for eat in but didn’t seem to do well when we made them for takeout. Because it’s the new crop we could only get a few different varieties. Thankfully we were able to get our usual ones back today.

Excellent, as always. I have not had a bad meal here...ever! The fish and seafood options are fantastic, the fries are obviously made in-house, and the coleslaw is always fresh. The service is great, and the food arrives quickly. It is my go-to whenever I want fish and chips. It is as good or better than anything I have had in the UK.

Normally I've always eaten in the restaurant but because of current restrictions decided to do pickup. Love eating there but the takeout one night last week was edible but in no way was it anywhere close to the dine in. Oh and they forgot the coleslaw.Rating would be 1 - 9 with takeout being the 1.

Take-out for fried foods is most definitely not the same as freshly served at your table. Time and the moisture from the heat of the food in a container really does not do justice to the amazing Fish & Chips we serve in the restaurant during Dine in. We strive to do the best we can when packing take out food but yes, we do agree that as mentioned above time & moister from the hot food is not on our side. When you place your next order we will add an additional coleslaw we forgot with your order. Just let us know. We apologize for this. Regards, Mark

Ordered halibut and chips last night. My halibut was not very good thin and hard to chew.
Also the driver asked for a tip?? Who am I tipping? the driver? whom I think is already paid, the restaurant? who I do not tip on a pick up order. Just seemed a little strange in this situation. Do you know that drivers are asking for tips??

Take-out for fried foods is most definitely not the same as freshly served at your table. Time and the moisture from the heat of the food in a container really does not do justice to the amazing Fish & Chips we serve in the restaurant during Dine in. We strive to do the best we can when packing take-out food. All our fish portions are by weight and we do ensure you get the fish quantity you’re paying for. When ordering takeout, the moisture that collects in the container can make the fish batter a little soggy/thin and the added moisture to the fish, may also give it or explain the texture that is hard to chew. We would really like to make this up to you if you could please call us to discuss your experience. As for the Delivery Driver asking for a tip: we use a local delivery company and yes, they are paid per delivery. However, they should not be verbally asking for a tip. Tips are always given by the customer if they so choose to give one. We will be addressing this with your delivery service provider to ensure it does not happen again. However, if the customer is paying by Credit or Debit Card the delivery person may ask before the enter the amount in the machine if they want to leave a tip or the payment machine will ask if you would like to give a tip. This tip goes only to the driver. We apologize for your unacceptable food and delivery service experience. Please contact us directly to see how we can resolve this. Regards, Mark
