Founder and Owner of Horseplay Sanctuary Topic: Balancing It All: Work, Play & Dreams
Lillian Tepera bio: After stepping away from the frenetic pace of a Marketing career in consumer electronics, Lillian accepted a position teaching Marketing at Georgian College in Barrie. This career change gave her the flexibility and time to pursue another passion – sharing her horses and horse experience with those who might never have the opportunity to ride: children and adults with special needs, and women and youth at risk. In 2007, Lillian and her family moved to a 50-acre farm in Oro-Medonte and launched a therapeutic riding program. In 2013, they incorporated as a not-for-profit and received charitable status for the organization, adding the rescue, retraining and re-homing of at-risk horses to Horseplay
Sanctuary’s mandate: Horseplay Sanctuary has delivered over 3000 hours of therapeutic riding and other horse experiences since its inception in partnership with community service organizations, and supported by a tremendous team of volunteers. Horseplay Sanctuary is currently home to 28 horses, most of them rescues and / or school horses working in the programs. All labour, including coaching, training and horse care is provided by volunteers.

Show Your Support Orillia "Bras for a Cause" fundraising contest
This local fundraising contest is to raise money for local families who are dealing with any cancer diagnosis and treatment and funds are given out to those in need through the Rotary Club of Orillia.
The OBWA is showing its support for the Show Your Support Orillia "Bras for a Cause" fundraising contest and you can too! Decorate a bra, fill out the entry form, and get a location to display your bra in Orillia. The bras with the most donations will be worn by the Men In Decorated Bras Fashion Show at the gala event “Mardi-Bras” The Show That Supports on October 30th as a lighthearted yet impactful way to show all those undergoing cancer and also their friends and families that they have our full support. The gala will be a family event with food and entertainment. So, get those bras decorated and forms filled out as soon as you can. For more information go to www.showyoursupportorillia.com
