SEPTEMBER 2019 - OBWA NETWORKING AND DINNER MEETING
The Orillia Business Women’s Association (OBWA) meets every second Wednesday of the Month (September thru June) at the Best Western Mariposa INN and Conference Centre at 400 Memorial Ave. Orillia for networking events, fun and delicious food.
OBWA PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE
Welcome back everyone! By the time we gather for our dinner meeting in September some will be back to conducting business in a more vigourous manner or back to a stricter schedule with the family or maybe still in vacation mode! Our executive has changed drastically and we will be voting for the Speaker Coordinator position on the 11th. Susan Zaroski was acclaimed as our new Secretary and will join Andrea Sullivan, Membership Coordinator, and Sharon Van Noort, Executive Assistant and myself on the executive. A few items may change but the most important things that will remain are the strength and optimism of the OBWA. We will continue the format of the meetings and will continue to offer the welcoming atmosphere and great networking. Friendships will continue to flourish and memberships will continue to grow.
As a paid member please don't forget to connect with the other members on the face book page and continue to share what you are up to or what your needs, wants, and successes are. This is a great way to connect with the other women.
We have an exciting speaker lined up for September and a totally different event planned for October. Stay tuned. You will also get the opportunity to "re-introduce" yourself at the September meeting during your 30 second elevator speech. It would be great to prepare your speech ahead of time so you get the most important details to the others. Remember to keep it short and to the point. We need to respect the others by keeping to the time limit.
