OCTOBER 2019 - OBWA PAINT AND PIZZA NIGHT!! - COPY - COPY - COPY
The Orillia Business Women’s Association (OBWA) meets every second Wednesday of the Month (September thru June) at the Best Western PLUS Mariposa INN and Conference Centre at 400 Memorial Ave. Orillia for networking events, fun and delicious food.
OBWA PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE .... Can you believe fall has arrived! With the change in season, we are seeing lots of fall fairs, vendor shows and events popping up that some of the members participate in. PLEASE take advantage of what is offered to you as a paid member of the OBWA and get exposure for your business and let us know what you are up to and where you are going to be. Keep us posted. Also, don’t forget to get your photo and your business (or your photo and some information about YOU if you don't have a business) on the power point that plays during the meetings. It has been great to see more of your posts and interaction on the group face book. We have so many interesting members who have very cool businesses. And for those of you who don't have businesses if you have any events that you volunteer for or participate in please keep us up to date on those as well. You will never know how or where referrals might come from if you don’t put yourself out there. Take the time to get to know one another during the networking part of the meeting and during dinner.
We have grown again this past month. So, we welcome our newest members. We hope that you enjoy what we have to offer. Remember we are always open to suggestions you might have to add some flavour and fun. Talk to us.
Our Pizza and Paint Night is going to be so much fun. This is so totally different from our usual meetings and we hope to continue to offer you some really different and fun events. If you have any ideas please share them with an executive member or send us an email at networking@orilliabusinesswomen.com.
In November we will celebrate our freedom with a tribute to veterans and our military. And we will finish off 2019 with our annual Christmas Party in December. Keep an eye on the face book page to see what is happening.
There is always something new going on and I think this is what keeps the group current and vibrant. And remember that this is YOUR group. For those of you who can't make the October dinner meeting, we wish you a Happy Thanksgiving.
In closing here is a quote from Henry David Thoreau, “I am grateful for what I am and have. My thanksgiving is perpetual.”
