Welcome 2024!
Here's hoping your holiday celebrations were as wonderful as you had hoped.
We have some great speakers lined up for 2024, and we hope you join us each month to hear them.
Just a heads up - we're going to start planning our Gala 2024 for the Woman of the Year and Young Woman of the Year and we really need your help. It's a great event, and having more people on the committee makes a lighter load for all of us. Your commitment will be for 1-2 meetings in Feb. and Mar.; then in April we meet weekly until the Gala.

Let's all try to do the best we can, with what we have, to make this world a better place.

January Dinner Meeting will be held on January 10 th at
Kelseys Roadhouse Restaurant,
405 Memorial Ave. Orillia, L3V 0T7
The restaurant will be following the Covid Protocol that is currently in place
at their establishment

Our RSVP numbers are submitted to Kelseys that day as they need to know
numbers for staffing
If you reserved your dinner spot and can’t attend please contact us right away so that
we can try and fill the spot with someone else that may be on a waiting list.
As always we welcome all women to the OBWA and we are encouraging our members
to bring a guest or two to our January meeting!
We have brought back some of our old traditions to our OBWA Dinner Meetings! Toonies for Toiletries where the money collected goes for hygiene products for those in need in the community
The Sharing Place are desperately in need of Donations. We will be collecting non-perishable food items and as well Clean Reusable Grocery Bags which we will donate to the Orillia Sharing Place.
32 lbs of food was collected at our December meeting and donated to the Sharing Place
Thank You to those that donated food & reusable bags!
As well we will be doing a 50/50 draw at each meeting!

Doors open at 5:30 p.m.
There will be an event charge of $5 for members and $10 for non members payable at the door

7 p.m.- Guest Speaker – Dr Kim Bremer
Dr. Kim Bremer has been practicing as an OBGYN in Orillia since 2016. She completed her medical school and specialist training at the University of Toronto. She loves working with the amazing team at OSMH and providing care to our wide catchment area of patients.
She will be talking about the menopause transition. I hope to provide the group with a greater understanding of this stage in life, ways to manage symptoms and resources

Starting at our October meeting and running until September 2024 we will be honouring our OBWA members in good standing with Birthdays in that month. When you attend our Dinner Meeting the month of your Birthday we will waive your $5 event fee. Those having Birthdays in May, June, July and August will have their event fee waived accordingly. Please make sure you let Susan Zaroski know the month of your Birthday so she can get you on our Birthday Month list. She will be sitting at the door at the meeting to take the information from you or if you wish please e-mail your Birthday Month to Networking@OrilliaBusinessWomen.com
Please note: Memberships were due September 1st , 2023 & need to be paid for you to be a member in good standing. $100 membership fee will keep you a member in good standing until August 31,2024 . Members have the privilege of posting on social media & have their information about their business and themselves on our website as well as posting on Face Book. Non-members can attend meetings though without the other privileges. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact one of our executive members.
