My son started to learn piano with Tom. It is a great atmosphere as it is structured, but he has lots of fun learning without feeling pressure. It is also great that he talks to him at the same level and not like he is a child. This makes my son feel important and want to practice to impress for the next week.

My daughter recently began guitar lessons with Tom. She LOVES it! She is learning so much from Tom, he is encouraging her and motivates her by allowing her to play the type of music that she enjoys (which isn't always the case with music instructors!) She looks forward to her sessions and leaves the studio with the biggest smile on her face and a sense of accomplishment :)

Tom has taught my three sons for years, each in a different instrument-drums, guitar and piano. He seems to be able to keep the learning of an instrument fun and exciting for the different personalities my kids each bring to the table. This year they performed two Beatles songs at the Beatles Fest in Orillia- an amazing feat since they have never performed on stage before. I can see that with Tom, my children have developed a love for playing an instrument. He is the first music teacher to turn all of my kids on to loving playing music-thanks Tom.

Top notch !! Tom goes out of his way to accomodate his students and their families. He really cares and goes the extra mile. He provides incentives and great motivation. I can not say enough about his professionalism, talent and love for music !!!

Tom is a credit to his profession. I took guitar lessons with him and he was wonderfully tolerant and forgiving. He personalized the music to my interest, making the learning process much more enjoyable. I would certainly recommend him as a music teacher.

my 11 year old son has been taking guitar lessons with Tom for almost a year now and I am impressed with Tom's teaching style. Tom really makes learning the instrument of choice a lot of fun. He keeps the kids interested by teaching them songs of their choice. I say instrument of choice as Tom teaches guitar to my oldest and we are possibly looking into getting my other 2 boys in to learn drums and piano. I highly recommend Tom!

My 10-year old son has been taking guitar lessons with Tom for the past year and loves it. Tom encourages him to pick the music so he always likes what he's playing and is eager to practice. My 12-year old son has been taking lessons with Tom for almost year and a half and he loves it. He plays songs that he likes and has a desire to learn them. Tom keeps up his interest even with the scales and theory :-) Tom is a great teacher who accomodates the student's goals and makes the lessons fun!

I am a 16 year old who took lessons with tom for about 3 years, Tom was an excellent teacher! Super friendly and funny and taught what YOU wanted to learn, and taught it well! Had great pointers to help you continue learning on your own at home like computer software that slows down a song to get the exact notes. Also very flexible with schedule which is super helpful. Let him know what you want and he will provide you with what you need, 5 Stars from this guy!

My son wanted to learn guitar and Tom was recommended to me by a friend. I thought my son would take a few lessons and lose interest but that was not the case and has continued lessons for the past 3 years. Tom has certainly been key in my son continuing. He is excellent at teaching music. I would absolutely recommend him. Tom teaches his students what they want to learn and play. The lessons are always very individual to what each person wants. Thanks so much.

Tom Schepp is a very accomplished musician who has the ability to impart his considerable musical knowledge to students of all ages and skill-levels. I am 58 years of age and played guitar by ear for years. I asked Tom if he could teach me to read the tablature system of reading music and improve my technical skills. I look forward to every lesson and never leave without some improvement in my guitar playing skills. Tom has great patience as an instructor and quickly analyzes a students abilities to offer constructive advice. I hope to keep learning from Tom for a considerable time. I heartily recommend Tom as a music instructor.

I found Tom Schepp through the Orillia Parks & Recreation booklet. It was a 6 week program - well, that 6 week program has turned into 2 years as of the end of September. I always look forward to my lessons - from techniques to learning songs that pose as a challenge. He inspires you to raise the bar and will show you how to do it. So, if you know of anyone looking for guitar,keyboard drums and/or vocal lessons, he is the one to see!

Tom's teaching style focuses on music that his students really enjoy. Aside from the actual "how to" lessons, the first thing Tom zoned in on when my sons and I signed up for guitar lessons, was what types of songs we liked.

When the student learns songs they like rather than just scales, their interest stays high. Tom is friendly and outgoing, I would recommend taking lessons with Tom for sure!

Thanks for all of the support Tom. I very much enjoyed your approach. The fact that you modified your lesson plan to suit my individual "style" made the lessons comfortable and inventive for me. As a 49 year old man.....with more desire than talent......I found lessons with Tom the right fit for me.
