We've been expecting you. Rediscover the perfect summer outing at our Downton Abbey Royal Picnic Celebrate a great afternoon of old-fashioned games such as 3 legged races, potato sack races and egg-spoon races. Parasols and Picnic Blankets are very welcome. Our East lawn will host an afternoon badminton match to the sounds of our 10 Piece Orchestra Sunshine Strings.Your very own Carson will be preparing spirited cocktails at our cash bar serving up Mr. Bates Bittersweet Slow Gin and the never changing Lady Mary that delivers a sweet punch with a sour finish that can linger all afternoon. Win great prizes for badminton games and draws for best dressed in Downton inspired picnic attire where white & cream will be the brightest of all colors. Picnic baskets to be picked up promptly at 2 pm in Swanmore Hall at 50 Museum Drive (The Leacock Museum Cafe) by one member of each party. Baskets will include Baguette Sandwiches, Assorted Cheeses, Fresh Summer Fruit & High Tea Sweets, Tea Cups & linen napkins. Old Fashioned Lemonade & Sunkissed sweet tea will be served.
