OUR ORILLIA TEAM

DR. AMIR GUORGUI, BSC, DMD, MACSD, FICO

After receiving the prestigious Canadian Governor General's Academic Medal, Dr. Guorgui was awarded an entrance scholarship to the University of Toronto where he completed an Honours Bachelor of Science degree with High Distinction. He received his Doctor of Medical Dentistry degree from the University of Montreal in 2001. Dr. Guorgui continued his postgraduate education with a residency at the New York Hospital of Queens in New York City, where he was mentored by some of the leading clinicians in dentistry. Since becoming a dentist over 10 years ago, he has been committed to advancing his surgical and sedation training by completing multiple implant and sedation residencies. Dr. Guorgui has recently earned the Mastership designation at the College of Sedation, which recognizes his commitment to providing the highest quality sedation services to his patients. He is one of a handful of Canadian dentists who have earned this prestigious title. Dr. Guorgui has also been recently awarded his fellowship status with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI) which is an honour bestowed by this professional organization to recognize his dental implant training.
Dr. Guorgui currently practices in multiple private clinics in the Greater Toronto Area. He is passionate about educating his patients on their overall oral health while focusing on their specific needs.

DR. ROBERT EISEN, DDS

Dr. Rob Eisen graduated from the University of Western Ontario and began practicing dentistry in 1985. Continuing education has always been a focus and priority for Dr. Eisen. He is an active member of several dental study groups and professional associations. In 1995, he completed a post-graduate program in Cosmetic Dentistry at the University of Buffalo. He is a graduate of the Pankey Institute, a renowned post-graduate dental training facility. Another priority for Dr. Eisen is serving the community. He and many members of his staff have been involved in creating a Dental Clinic for disadvantaged youth.

DR. LORNE NEWTON

Dr. Lorne Newton has been practising dentistry for 25 years, graduating from the University of Toronto in 1986. Growing up in North York has given Dr. Newton a great knowledge of how to most effectively serve the people and families of the surrounding areas. As well as General Dentistry, Dr. Newton provides Orthodontic services including traditional braces and Invisalign for teens and adults. Dr. Newton is an active member of the Ontario Dental Association and enjoys supporting the Heart and Stroke foundation by actively participating in the Cancer Relay for Life.

JODY - REGISTERED DENTAL HYGIENIST

Jody attended Georgian College here in Orillia after high school, where she completed the Dental Assisting program. Immediately after, she entered the Dental Hygiene program and, in 2009, obtained her diploma. Jody was born and raised in the Alliston area, but a combination of her boyfriend and the opportunity for great professional growth brought her here to the Orillia Smile Centre team. She truly enjoys hygiene and prides herself in being gentle, yet thorough with her clients. When she is not detoxifying sulci (a fancy term for showing oral bacteria who’s boss), she is spending time with friends, working out at the gym or running around town training for her next big race.
