S.M.D. SERVICES was incorporated in May of 1986 as a locally located service company for electrical contracting and generator sales & service. It is located on Orkney Heights Road, on the east side of Orillia, in the Township of Ramara. Due to our mobile service it has grown to serve a larger area, which encompasses south and central Ontario. Our diversified training allows us to sell and service generators in the RV, portable, residential, commercial, industrial and marine fields. 

All of our technical staff are factory trained on engines, alternators, controllers, transfer switches by Cummins, Onan, Kohler, Westerbeke and many other generator sets. Currently we have three (3) service vehicles on the road. Our extensive training in mechanical, electrical and electronics is a valuable asset to our customers. 

S.M.D. SERVICES was signed up as an authorized Onan dealer in 1985 and in 1998 as a factory authorized Kohler sales, warranty and service dealer. Due to our extensive training and knowledge, on electrical and gensets , we are constantly being called for support service for Cummins/Onan in Canda & the USA, Kohler, Westerbeke, Generac and numerous other genset dealers, owners or manufactures.
