Prenatal Yoga

This class allows you to take stock of what your body is doing moment to moment as you grow your Baby as well as encouraging you to open physically and mentally to what it means to become a Momma. In this class, we stretch and strengthen the muscles that need to be toned and opened for labor as well as focus on the breath/movement connection giving you some tools for labor itself.

Family Yoga

This is a super fun way to spend some quality time in the community with your family, let go and get silly but also a little sentimental. Our classes focus on themes like Kindness, Compassion, Strength etc. and what they mean and feel like. You’ll move and breathe like animals, float around like hot air balloons or balance strong and tall like a tree. Yoga puts you and your kids on the same level. Come to a space where you can play, move and breathe together in a noncompetitive, judgement free environment.

Mom and Baby Yoga

It’s been 9 months with a Baby growing inside you. Your body became not just yours but your Baby’s too. The transition from pregnancy to being a Momma with your Babe on the outside is big. Come and be in community, get out of the house, meet up with a friend and stretch it out. This class enables you to stretch out your Momma muscles. You know, the ones that you used to carry and birth your Baby? The ones you use to carry the carseat, feed, nurse and change dirty diapers? Encourage healing and begin to build back strength as you take ownership of your body once again in this accommodating class.

Slow Flow Yoga

A full body flow that leaves you feeling great from head to toe.

A Lunch Time Quickie

A 45 minute body boost in your day. Clear your head, get your energy moving around your body and finish out the afternoon strong.

Ashaya Yoga

Not just movement, this 75 minute alignment based Ashaya yoga class is presented with a heart based theme interwoven throughout your practice, designed to guide you into reflection with postures that encourage and enhance the theme. For example, we may focus one practice on how being grounded in our lives allows us to reach for our goals. We would then practice postures like tree pose and weave the theme of grounding throughout practising this pose by focusing on growing roots through our feet and into the earth for us to grow taller through our spines and reach further through our finger tips leaving us balanced yet flexible (the goal).

Crawlers Yoga

So your Babe has started crawling and has graduated Mom and Baby yoga. Hopefully you are feeling a little more yourself in body and mind after a few months of doing this Mom thing. This class focuses on getting a little more of a workout in for you. Your Babe can move around the studio in safety and play with some available sensory toys like egg shakers etc while you get your yoga flow on and maybe even break a sweat.

The After Work Let Go

Move with the breath through postures that when combined give you a full body experience and let go of your work day. Whatever that means for you.

 Every Monday and Wednesday  5:15pm
 

Open Studio Hours

With the purchase of a 10 or 20 class pass from The Holding Space you receive the opportunity to enjoy Open Studio Hours from 9am10:30am Monday to Thursday. We get that the dishes might not be done, that the piles of laundry are waiting or that the playroom is a disaster and that even though you may have the best intentions of rolling out your mat in the midst of it all, it is kinda distracting. This is your opportunity to walk away, enter into a quiet, calm space and take some deep breaths, do a personal practice, meditate or take a nap on your mat.

Little Warriors Yoga

Our kids’ yoga program is called Little Warriors. In this program we offer levels of achievement, which we have named ‘lotus levels’ so it becomes a program kids can participate in like swimming, karate or dance.

 Little Warriors Ages 2-3  Every Monday  11am
 Little Warriors Ages 4-6  Every Thursday  4:15pm
 Little Warriors Ages 7-9  Every Thursday  5:15pm
