Wondering IF you need a Doula or WHY you would need a Doula? I'm here to help! Consider this: I am here every step of the way to provide emotional and physical support to not only yourself but your partner as well! While your medical team focuses their attention on the safety of yourself and the baby, a doula is focused on providing comfort measures to make your experience as comfortable as possible. There is a lot going on in the room leading up to giving birth, there are machines, paperwork, and tests that are being done on a hourly basis. Your doula is there to focus on you! Going into the birth, you will have a familiar face because we will have had prenatal appointments and we will have gotten to know each other which makes it that much more comforting since there are a lot of people coming in and out of the delivery room. Never fear your partner being replaced or pushed aside either! I am here to make his role shine and allow him to be a positive attribute to the birthing experience. I am here to help the partner look like a pro by providing ideas and strategies to help you through the birth. If it has been a long day and your partner needs a little break, I am there to jump in and take over so your care never fades and is consistent until the very end.
